I've been thinking of picking up the zf 100 & zf 50 1.4..

Zacuto.com seems like the best deal since they throw a gear ring in for the 50.

Anyone know of a better place?

not the lenses you are after but you may also look at red rock micro.
    they have a set called;
    microFollowFocus Bundle: Zeiss Lens Edition

    -Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/ 85mm telephoto lens
    -Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/ 50mm standard lens
-Zeiss Distagon T* 2/35mm moderate wide angle lens

3 lenses and their rings, a follow focus unit and a pelican case for all...
with a good price...but with a little lead time...

    Richard,
I'm not sure that zacuto actually throw in the lens gears, if they did, that's a good deal. I know it's in the photo but it doesn't say anything else about the gear. Prices are still pretty comparable.

still waiting on delrin gears for the zeiss set

PS once I get my 100mm this week, I'll post a tutorial on how to remove the iris click stops on a zeiss zf if anyone is interested.

Lowdown, I would be very interested in de-clicking. Is it as easy as they say?

I sent my 17-35 and 80-200 to a lens tech to do that, since they were more complicated lenses.

    thanks

    Richard,
what I was saying is that it's easy ( for me ) on the zeiss zf's. I removed the back of my nikon lens but stopped when I saw some springs. I can show you how to do the zf's, but the nikons not so much.

No problem man, I was actually just asking about the Zeiss click removal. My 1.4/50 is coming in soon and I'd like to make that happen.
