Will these work on the RED for sure? These are great for my Canon's too so I will pick some up if RED says OK...

I'm thinking those are not officially supported and definitely not for the higher frame rates/compression settings. But we've had success with them.

How about the Sandisk 8GB Extreme IV CF -- 40 MB/SEC, should work? $90 each with rebate.

While speed wise they may work, RED, I know, disabled some other third party cards. The Lexar cards in this thread are the same cards as the RED cards so you don't have to worry about them getting disabled. I am super happy with mine and have had no issues with them.

At only $210 the A DATA Turbo 350x 16GB cards seems great.

    I hope they work.

Please keep us in the loop Deanan.

    Thanks!

Deanan has no earthly reason I can think of to keep us in the loop, unless he wants to watch his company fail while he stands by and shouts: YES THEY WORK AND COST 1/2 as much as we are going to charge for ours!!

PLEASE DEAR CUSTOMERS GO BUY THEM!!

I mean, they are not our best friends at RED. The "open" policy IS amazing but I don't think I would go as far as to ask Deanan to "keep me in the loop" on 3rd party products unless you want him to tell you a lie like "nope they don't work...far to slow, buy ours and be safe dear customers" LOL

    All in good humor,
