Well he never said officially ProRes LT, i hope its a thicker file but maybe limited frame rates. Hoping for HQ at least. LT I have no use for personally

He said 'lightweight' which I'm sure was for a reason.

I'd be surprised if it got vanilla 422, I think LT is most likely its upper limit but that's just a guess.

Nice, I thought about this, I'd like to know if you only record prores are you able to record higher rates on Scaralet W. Or am I going about it all wrong? At anyrate many thanks for 4K, I love the prores angle, it really adds value in keeping the rig small and not adding $#it on. Now for those small batteries... The dirty little fantasy in my mind is that RED makes a power module for the side handle for hot swaps. Maybe some tiny battery that will power for 5-10mins... One can dream...

Jarred mentions lightweight, which most people are assuming means ProRes LT/Proxy, yet from my understanding those lightweight variants require more processing power than the less compressed variants (HQ, etc). My guess is we get the latter, but with limited frame rates.

Pretty cool they're still pushing features into the S-W, excited to test this out. I do wish they could get higher frame rates working with ProRes. I've been shooting ProRes lately for some documentary work and would love to be able to shoot 2k 120fps ProRes with my S-W.
