    I'm assuming this can charge a batt even when not mounted to a camera right? Maybe a dumb question but I want to make sure.

    based on where the mounting screws are i'd say no but how high it sticks up over the brain depends on the battery.

    No, it does not lower the V-Lock mounting point in the way that you're thinking / like how the Wooden Camera attachment does.

    However, there are several v-lock batteries that will fit flush on this module.. like RED's new Red Volts V-lock or Blueshape Minis

    can this thing be mounted directly to the dsmc2 i/o module. because i bought the i/o module without the vlock and looking now for the best solution to add an vmount back.
    so maybr this or the wooden camera one, right?
