It's 4 weeks now after Jim said they would be available in 4 weeks or so. So are they there?

    today is the day!!
come on!!, erase this "coming soon".
Jarred, I know this is not a question of this Thread, but...
do you recomend any CF reader?.
I worked with some Expresscard CF readers, and one CF to eSATA intarface, and have real 38 Mb/s maximum. What is the read speed limit of RED CF 8 and 16 Gb??

remember though... we have HUNDREDS of backorders already on the 16gb cards... people started ordering them as soon as they went in the store.

So if you dont already have your order in, it will still be a couple weeks till we get through the backlog.

I've hit 101MB/s on reads for the 16GB cards so you'll probably get about 77MB/s over fw800 and faster if you go with an expresscard reader.
However, the expresscard reader I have crashes my MBP often (GSOD).

Ok, I’ll try another one CF reader. We begin a Film production in September and I need to find the fastest/better one.
Faster than 77Mb/s? Great news!, Probably you’re talking about lexar CF reader FW800. Problems with Express card? I’ll tell you.
Thanks anyway. I had told to the Dop of this film: he can see the Redcine Screen On Set 10 minutes after the last shoot. So I need to find the fastest CF solution. This is my problem.

I don't want to start a stampede, but would you recommend updating an order before that first e-mail arrives, if you come to a higher understanding of your needs x by the introduction of new products?

I mean, I was so out to lunch when I placed my order that I thought the CF Module came with the camera! I need it, plus the 16 gig cards. Then the carbon fibre rods seem to have changed in composition and price...oh, Lordy! Though it's all for the better, I don't want to be out of production with such a great camera delivered into my hands.

I know that those who have actually purchased and paid for their cameras are in line for their accessories first; But....Aurgh! I'll just wait and see, but I'm going to update my order now if I can, as I need more firepower! And I may end up answering any of my own stupid questions in the process.
