How to import

Hello!
I'm working with 2k and 4k , qt reference_M importing directly to avid
when importing 601/709 both footage seems stretched
when importing at the last avid option 'maintan, resize..' 4k comes with a black border e 2k continue to seems stretched
How to do this right?
Is it better to fix it later on avid with reformat?

If you are shooting 2:1 aspect ratio, you can expect a slight letterbox at the top and bottom.

my 4k material i got the slight letterbox, but not with the 2K (it still seems stretched), is this happening because i'm importing both the M quicktime so as the 2k is only 512X288 and the 4 k is 1024X512?
and i'm suppose to import it with resize maintain right?

I import at 601/709 setting and then reformat in the Avid. Can't remember the specific number though.
