ET, you've done it again! LOVE the V-Lock system you're developing and hope you'll sell the locks and plates individually so we can attach other gear to our REDs as we see fit. Keep up the great work!

yea the locks and plates by themselves are dandy...
...not that the HD mount is not good... I think it is the best accessory i have seen in terms of ingenuity.
If you order the ET aluminum interface plate it comes with the proper screws.
Andrae:
Those screws are 4-40 socket cap screws. The ones that we ship with our RED Aluminum Battery Plate are 7/16" long...but I'm not certain how long the screws that actually come with the plate from RED are. I'm very surprised that it did not come with them though. Doesn't the battery Plate have a backing on it? How is it attached?
Our Speedy Clamps have a 1/4-20 Threaded hole in the back of them, so if you wanted to drill something to attach a Speedy Clamp to you would want to drill a 1/4-20 THROUGH hole and not a threaded one, otherwise you will have binding issues. Additionally, all of our Battery Plates have a channel for the Speedy Clamp to sit in. This prevents whatever you are mounting to it from becoming a giant lever allowing you to essentially unscrew that 1/4-20 fastener. If you are modifying a part for the Speedy Clamp, you may want to take this into consideration as well.
Hopefully that helps...let me know if you have any additional questions Sir!
If you order the RED battery plate from the RED store... should it come with the six allen screws?
Thanks very much for the info. The back plate wasn't attached at all... When I lifted up the battery plate the back plate just fell off. I don't think RED ships it with allen screws. I'll have to call them and see.
I didn't get screws with my RED battrey plate either. But I didn't care because I already had planned to use my ET aluminum plate anyway. It is worth the $70 if you want to attach a speedy clamp.
Oh. I thought you were talking about a 19mm speedy clamp.
