I just received an email from Imagine products about a new auto offloading program called ShotPut RED edition. They gave many detail's, but I would like to know if anyone has worked with it yet, and what the impressions are.

Looks pretty good for $49. And they have a Windows version!
I just had a sound editor link me to this, it sounds like it'd be exactly what we need (backup in 3 places, and verify data) and for $50 it seems like a steal. tannerstauss i'm in the same boat as you, id be very interested in hearing if people have used it.
UPDATE: Buying it now, going to try it out today, should have a good report tonight.
Red life just got that much simpler.
Lil update for those who are watching. After talking with some tech support, it looks like quite possibly this software IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BUILD 15 FILES! We have yet to take the plunge with Build 16, but apparently that should work fine. More as i find it out.
UPDATE: I posted to their forums in regards to the Build 15 files being unavailable, and within a couple hours i had a new build of the program at my door, build 15 compliant. Software does what it says, and is real easy to use. A def. must for D.M.T.s of the RED.
Seem like a cool tool to off-load your CF cards.
Thanks for the product and site.
Cheers...
What is the speed like? In other words, if it is doing a verification process, does it just double the normal finder copy time or is there some other kind of process going on? Has anyone compared to speeds for R3D Data Manager? Is the verification process using checksum or something else?
Ill fill one of our 8 GBs today with footage in varying lengths and time it to get an idea of speed, if someone wants to do the same with R3D manager? so we have something to compare to.
Can it handle multiple card readers?
