I hate to do this, but I bought a Pentacon 6 to PL adapter from Sergey Kravchenco at the beginning of July and have yet to receive it. I have sent numerous emails to him and have not gotten a response. Has anyone here bought anything from him in the past? Did you receive it? I realize that it takes a while to get here from Russia but I've purchased other things from Russia and Eastern Europe and its arrived in less than two weeks. Any thoughts?

My experience is you have got to give the international postal process (which is how they usually send things) 4 to 6 weeks from Russia to the States, so you should probably give it some time and it will most likely show up. I just got PL mounts put on some high speed Ekran lenses and did the return shipping by DHL from St Petersburg and it took 3 days. Not cheap, but it takes some of the uncertainty out of the whole process.

I ordered in the past 3 times lenses from him. He has a very (!!!!) original way of dealing with time. Once it took him for "personal" reasons more then 6 weeks to start to ship the stuff. An other time the goods where stopped by the Russian border because they thought it was spy material and it took me 1 month to convince him that it was him who had to go and deal with the problem. But after all I always got for what I paid.
Please note: I ordered them from Italy so I do not know if the US custom adds problems or not. Good luck, Istvan

Packages can take up to 6 weeks to get through the Russian export system. Hang in there, I've bought from Sergey before and he does take a while to answer emails but ultimately came through.

A partner of mine has bought from him. Same period, same month (July), same problem. Actually, he has threatened to have the same initiative as you, going online with his protest. So far, I've got to stop my mate. This is not good for Sergey's business. It can generate a rumor. It can be harmful. My partner has been stopped, waiting for his delivery. So far.

I'VE ALREADY purchased from him before once. Very professional. The stuff? 100% new, as described. I would recommend him despite his delays and beyond that hassle. Your money is safe as far as I could experience. I cannot say more than this. Nor less.

Sergey has sold a lot of russian gear and has a pretty good reputation. Things take a while to get to the US from Russia. I had an item take 2.5 months to get here once. If you need it quick, get fedex global express.

Indeed. I've just been informed Sergey has just noticed my partner on his purchase less than one hour ago. I'm happy since my intuition doesn't get me wrong. :matrix:

Thanks for your responses. I knew that it would take a while to get here. I am glad to hear that Sergey has a good reputation. I was getting concerned with the complete lack of communication. I have emailed him four times since mid July and have received no response.

I have dealt with him and he is honest. Shipments from Russia can take a lot longer than expected. Don't worry too much.
