Actually, you are completely wrong.
So many folks over at BMCuser have been asking for this, for years, that the only thing that is surprising is that it took this long to get here.

And frankly if you own Super 16 glass, the value of it just went up again.

Notice how they have matched what looks like a strap hole on one side with a similar looking switch on the other side visually. I have a feeling this is going look like one classic camera.

I think it will be very successful. Many DPs will forego the Alexa Mini in favour of this. I have wanted the HD version for a long while for photography, but HD isn't quite enough resolution for me. Once my budget allows for new camera purchases, I'm going to take a closer look.

BTW in Australia, the value of the BMPCC on the used market has gone slightly up recently, and I don't know why.
