Chris, great work as always. What sets it apart for me is the ability to use what you have, and still make world class stuff. I also dig that you are willing to share all the BTS stuff that I just drool over. A masterclass every time. In fact, I wish you could do something like one of these online Masterclasses, they pretty much rock. https://www.masterclass.com Would be great to have a kind of REDucation that could be tuition based, and online!!!

We anything that had the Ritter fans going was completely useless, so that was a rebuild in post by our sound designer Ken Cain. There was a pretty extensive sound design throughout the film in fact, as there is so little dialog. It also wove in and out with the score which was fairly tonal and atmospheric as well.

Are we looking at new secret sauce/ secret source here :-)
We tried various sources from DNX to Prores and the Prores resulted in a significantly cleaner compression on Vimeo than the DNX 4K source did. We're talking 100GB+ files uploaded... We didn't experiment as much on YouTube and fed it the same Prores output source.

Not on Hydrogen day, but Cinegear for sure.

I'd sit in, stay longer for a "Director's" commentary type thing... Play it once then replay, stop /start/ pause / play and talk through maybe how some of the key / deceptively simple yet very tricky sequences came together.
Perhaps we can try to pull some of Epoch's team for a CineGear screening/Q&A... Just depends on timing and work schedules.

I know your ethic and I embrace it....I am searching every post...you once wrote a very long post very early in the morning (I think) about being asked something that the poster could easily look up. I will do my own looking...thanks for that push.
