    Looks like RED is in a very good position to take advantage of this.

    Who said nobody would ever need 8K or more...

    When this is true, they made a serious breakthrough in GPU technologie.

    Today's fastest consumer GPU Titan V ($3.000) can do (on avg.) 90 fps in UHD Ultra (3840x2160) which is the minimum in connection with motion sickness.
    2x 8k is a factor 8 more.

    That is a lot of GPU power.

    I would love to see an 8K resolution OLED matrix, in an optically transparent substrate, incorporated into the lenses of my glasses.
