    Panavision built a in house digital 65mm with there "own sensor" and own codec and never released it and instead released this. I'm not sure who built it but I seem to remember hearing where. I'm not sure at what point you not manufacturing them and only designing them is an issue but red got in with Apple, then china, then foxconn. They had a cheap 8k press release, current owners inquired worried about investments and boom now our price cut but also simplification of the lines. You can also scope out red jobs on there listing to get an idea of what is being hired currently in the US to get ideas on what is going on.

    That's awesome.

    Is there any way to compare to a normal R3D workflow? To see what LI is doing compared to base.
