I was shooting some off-speed stuff at 60fps with a cranked shutter of 1/144. Then, I changed it back to 23.98 with a cranked shutter of 1/100.

Now, after an entire day of shooting, it shows the footage was recorded sped-up even after everything was shot with a 23.98 base.

Has anyone else had this issue? I know for a fact I had powered down the camera multiple times between setups.

Edit: This is the same for both ProRes 2K LT proxies and the R3Ds.

What program are you using to view the footage?

RedCineX, Apple QT, and FCP. All are playing it back as this sped-up footage, looking like it was shot at 15 fps when all of my settings and metadata shows the 23.98 base frame rate and 23.98 fps with a cranked shutter :/

Are you sure the capture format/project time base was at 23.976? I would double check it when shooting offspeed again.

Check metadata so all is right, playback speed capature speed etc. I seen the issue in resolve. starting a new project and reimport solved it.

Ok, I loaded up fw 7.0.3 - shot some test clips and did playback in-camera. First clip was the same as the previous issue, then I scrolled from 23.98 to a different fps, then back to 23.98 - all clips after that were fine.

I'll keep playing around with it and seeing if I can replicate the issue in-camera. I am no longer seeing it on my laptop. I'm really lost as to why this was happening and went away, but filed a bug report to Red.

Thank you everyone for your tips.
