The batteries are built into the light and recharge using a supplied USB power supply.

I love mine but one thing I wished to have is the lock for the button. I can't travel with it in my bag. It turns on so easily and heats up pretty badly. Or even a cap would help to travel.

on the website they say there is a lock now on the V2 version.
i wish they could run AC as well, i think they say they cant. battery only and charge only. for battery life reasons.

Yeah the lack of replaceable batteries is a concern for me. 10,000 hour LEDs don't mean much if the cycle life is 600 charges -- the batteries will go to dust at around 15% of the overall lifespan of the LEDs!

I wish more companies would go to 18650s direct. I'm sure someone can hack one of these open somehow and see if it's just a simple 18650 batch of cells that can be re-soldered.

Yuki, the 2nd Generation of Q-Lion lights added Kill and Reset Buttons.

To disable the Power Button when traveling, using a pen, press and hold the the KILL button button on the side for 5 seconds.

To enable the Power Button after it has been killed, plug it into your charger.

To Reset the lamp to default settings of 5600k and 100%, press the RST button.

Press button once to turn on.

    Press multiple times to dim.

Press and hold to change from 3000k to 5600k.

Other note on the rechargable models is that you'll want to ensure not to lose the original USB charger/cable. They're the only ones that will work with my Quasars, even though it's a standard USB-B pin type.
