I have a 480gb mag that I shot on yesterday. I went to transfer the footage today I got an error from Windows stating

"An unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.

Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable"

When I open RedCine it shows the files on the Mag but they are all only a second or two in length. The clips that were shot were much longer.

    Anyone have experience with this?

    Hey Brother,

try using REDUNDEAD, it tried this software and works.
REDUNDEAD recovers R3D files from media with damaged filesystems or erased/formatted media. The percentage recovered can vary depending on the condition of the media/filesystem at the time of recovery.
You can download it from the RED website. Good Luck.

Not sure what this error means, are you getting this error after running the terminal command?, make sure the command path is correct, Linux command can be tricky. If you are using a Window machine I'll try REDUNDEAD on a MAC, if is possible.

UF6 indicates it found a directory with too many files in it. That may or may not be real, depending on how corrupt your file system is.

Did you record just R3D, or was there ProRes/DNX as well?

    Got it!
    I had my files back.
For the ones, who like me and Blake had this problem, I let you my procedure:

    - Backup the entire card on computer
    - FORMAT THE CARD in camera (not "secure format", otherwise you will lose every file in your card, but the normal one)
    - Use REDundead

REDundead was not working cause something in the structure of the card was wrong and gave me the UF6 error. Formatting the card before to use it was useful to clean the card and rebuild the structure, then REDundead was able to got the old lost file.

I hope it would be hopeful for someone.

    Bye.
