    I get the message "The camera was improperly shut down" after having pressed the power button on the Ravenīs right side.

    Why is that?

    Doesn't seem to give any problems, but still ...

    You might be holding the Power/Record button down for too long.

    To power it off, press and hold for 2 seconds. If you hold longer, it's the equivalent of "pulling the plug" which isn't ideal especially as the camera goes through its shutdown commands.

    If you create a Support Ticket and send a Log file, RED Support could probably tell you exactly what is happening.

    Edit: I should note - 20+ seconds is a hard reset which will bring back the settings to default.

    I always just shut down via the touch screen to avoid that situation entirely.
