Hey everyone! I'm in a tricky situation, curious if a solution exists.

    [SITUTAION]

I have a 512GB RED mini-mag which I filmed "project A" with unfortunately the data was never downloaded.

The RED mini-mag was then formatted and filmed over with "project B" (totaling 167.24GB).

I'm currently trying to recover the data from "project A". I used REDUNDEAD, but it only recovered "project B" (which was data already present on the mini-mag).

Is there a way to recover the overwritten data (project A)?

    Greatly Appreciated,
    Ade

No, REDundead, and any recovery software for that matter can only recover data that was not written over.

I've had good luck recovering data but only from mags that had not previously be written on.

    Sorry!

You should be able to recover whatever was not written over. So depending on how much you shot there may be some that is recoverable. But the first 167 gigs is gone sorry to say.

This is a hard lesson to learn, but one that we all learn.
