  1. #1 Odd glitch in footage
    Hey guys!

I found a strange glitch in one frame of footage of as shoot I did tonight. Iím curious if itís because I accidentally dropped my mini mag when I was putting it away. (Not that far, but it scuffed up the card a little) Could that cause damages like this? And if I reformat the card will it be fine to use again?

    Thanks,
    Alan

UPDATE: I uploaded the footage to my computer and the glitch isn't there. I'm curious if this is just an in camera firmware glitch? Anyone else experience anything like this before?

I have seen this before and it usually goes away.
I am running a Scarlet MX.
Its been years since I've experience it.

Always good, whenever something is out of the "norm", to submit a log to RED to get to the bottom of it.

    Good Day, Alan,
I experienced the same issue yesterday for the time. Recording with the Gemini in 5K WS 8:1, 48fps. The glitch appeared in playback within the camera. After reviewing the video on the computer, there's no glitch or issues with playing back the video. I've since reformatted the card and have been recording again today. I've not reviewed the video as of yet, but if the glitch re-appears, I'll be sure to make a note here. Thanks for posting.

It's good to know i'm not the only one. :)

I talked with a rep from RED and he thinks it's a random glitch. They're looking into it on their end to fix it. When I get an update I'll let you guys know!

    Thanks again!
