This will be where I post footage from my amazing Gemini for all to see the incredible range of use in this brilliant product ;-)

My tests will mostly be HFR since that is why I purchased the Gemini. There's lots to look at out there for cameras which produce nice images at 24fps - the field narrows significantly after 60fps. My interests is to find the sweet spot for image quality at 60+fps. That's what the kids are shooting these days ;-)

If you would like to see a specific test run - hit me up

    First up:
Kitty in the window. Pretty much worst case in some sense, using the LL OLPF in sunshine, at 96FPS 8:1 compression, hand held, heavy backlight. Lens was a Nikon 70-200mm around F5.6 or so. Funny how blown out your monitored image looks in order to fill up the R3D with photons

I always find cats make great first test subjects for new equipment.
The results remind me of shooting in HDR on Dragon, but far more effective with keeping the foreground/background balanced.

I'd love to see some underwater tests when you get the chance.

So still first day with the Gemi and seeing how the LL OLPF rolls with HFR since I find RED cams always hungry for light but am not sure if it's worth swapping out OLPF's mid-day for incremental quality improvement. Images seem just a bit noisy but easy to grade. This taken in overcast conditions. The bright ripple water in front of the bird is minnows scattering - which looks cool in 96fps. Nikon 70-200mm lens.

Might have a chance for that but not until after the first of the year :-(

The Gemi LL performance, to me, is a breakthrough for RED underwater where you need all the boost you can get since you're dealing with filtered light and never enough of it. The 3200iso will be used . . . a lot
