    Hey Guys,

Forgive my ignorance. I'm really fed up with the support system we currently have and wanted to transition to a dovetail style locking system. I'm planning out the different setups in my head and needed a couple of Arri Standard Dovetails. The shortest I'm finding is around 12" though. Which, I do plan on getting. Does anyone make shorter ones as well? Like 6" or so? It'd save me a ton of headaches to be able to put this plate in multiple places so I can pull the camera off and switch quickly.

    Thanks!

Digital high fives. That first one looks like it'd be great. Do you know if the RED ones work as Arri Standard Plates? As for the last one, I don't think that'll work since it's more of a cheese plate, but I could be wrong.

I have the WC one in 8" & 12", the bottom is Arca-Swiss standard so you can also put them on Arca style quick release if you want to.

I don't own the RED ones, but yes they are made to Arri standard.

Check this out. I have a couple and they rule. No tools required for quick mounting. Support 19 and 15mm rods. https://www.red.com/DSMC-Quick-Release-Platform-Pack

Arri standard should work with any brand.

  9. #9 Arri standar dovetail guide measures & dimensions
    Hello everyone,
Hope all of you are well.

I picked up a no Arri standar dovetail plate for a few euros, I would like to make it working with my wooden camera unified system (arri dovetail standar). I could make use of one manual milling machine. Have any body make by himself an arri standar dovetail plate? If so, could you let me know which kind of Dovetail milling cutting I will be needing ( side and face cutting) and the measures for both dovetail 60 degrees guides, I will appreciate it.

    all the best.
