I have my annual Motorsport main shoot next week. I've been shooting Monstro for the past 5 months with the Standard OLPF with very good results, but the upcoming scenario will be a bit extreme, with situations were shutter speeds will need to go up to 500+ in High speed shooting. In the Dragon Days, the LLO OLPF would not leave my camera, but since Helium I haven't touched the included Standard OLPF.

My question to those that have did proper testing is how much am I gaining, and losing, with the LLO vs the Standard? I just don't seem to have time for proper testing, and will have the filter available close to the Event.

    All help appreciated!

    Hi Sergio,

I don't think there's much difference between LLO & Standard in terms of light loss though I know the colours on standard are way better and less red orb flaring.

Some info here but Phil Holland is probably the best man to ask!:

Hi Craig, thanks for the info and the trouble to search for these threads. Would be great if someone had any experience using both in extreme shutter and low light scenarios. Seems like I'll keep the standard one for now. I know how it reacts and might be a safer bet.
