    Hi

I the client has created DPX sequences on conform - with RC - I guess..., but cannot get them back into Nitris. He says Nitris doesn't recognize the format.

    Any ideas?

    Is this another metacheater issue?

I have taken DPX created by RedCine into MetaFuze and it recognizes the format, tape and timecode fields just fine. MetaFuze is built off of DS code so I am surprised that DS itself is not seeing it. I will check into it. How are the DPX files being created?

I don't have controll, but I think they have manually created a pull-list from a Nitris project, and pull out the frames from the RAw files.

Thanks a lot BTW. I'll tip them.

    Update:

It's just Nitris, apparantly, not DS...

    Guess that could be it.

Nitris is hardware. The software that goes with it is one of two products - Symphony or DS. DS can read DPX files. Symphony cannot. You should verify which product they are using. If they are using DS, then they are doing something wrong.

It was an odd situation when I came down there.

One machine with the right hardware, but the wrong software, and vice versa...

    Anyway, 16-bit tiff worked...
