Hey all, Hope everyone is about to go into a great holiday, For you that have some time off and want to play around with the work-in-progress that we are doing with NVIDIA for GPU decoding we are now opening the Closed Beta to a wider audience ( i.e you ) .

All you need to do is email redbetasw@red.com with your Dropbox email to get the link. Response will not be instant as Flo and team are also on holidays.

Remember, this is still beta so there is some jankyness going on, and the current build is optimized for single card systems. It will still work with systems with multiple cards, but it won't take advantage of them.

So bang on it and let us know.

And yes sorry, Windows only as Apple has ( for now ) decided not to support Nvidia on it's current OS.

Doing some tests over the holiday on 5 different types of systems. This should be fun :)

Excited to see this in action! Also, is there a good place to send a note on an outstanding REDCINE-X bug? I put in a ticket, but hasn't made it into the last few releases.

Would love to see it finally fixed with this one. :)

I see someone at RED was testing REDCine-X on a "nVidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti." That's what we have on our latest workstation addition. Two of them graphic cards in SLI. Needless to say, I'm excited. Let the games begin!

Happy to test on slightly older MacOS with Nvidia... I stopped upgrading my OS because our overall workflow is more important than "dark mode". I'm sure many other Mac-based professionals are in the same boat right now.
