Shot on a RED Dragon, with 5" RED Monitor, a AC7 smallHD monitor for focus assist, RT Motion with thumbwheel to pull focus, Easy Rig to help with the weight, and Rokinon/Tokina lenses EF mount lenses. Camera crew was just myself.

Hope you enjoy it! Apologies for the fb link since some of you may not be on it, but it'll soon be up on vimeo/youtube/amazon and will post those links later.

Not too bad! I expected a simplistic ending but now I am not too sure how to understand it. ;-)

I think the punches were sometimes not as convincing as they could have been, as you had the camera too close to the actors. And, as far as the performances were concerned, either the actors were not in sync with the script, or the direction was not there. Something was definitely off. It doesn't matter too much, as you actually shot and completed a film, no matter how short. I haven't got that far yet. :-)

The image by itself looked pretty good, too. It had a film-like feel to it without it looking like someone turned up FilmConvert to 100%.
Good production values may not be noticed. Bad production values will be.

Thanks Karim! Laila and Majnu are a pair of very popular characters in the Indian story world -- they are star-crossed lovers, and counterparts to Juliet and Romeo respectively. There was the effort to resonate with that thematic line. But at the end of the day, this was meant to be action porn. ;-)
