I like to update my security system with 4k cameras. Do you have any Surveillance systems, specific camera or brand that you want to recommend?

These are the feature im looking for.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ease of use. In 2019 I don't think you should need to read the manual more than perhaps for the installation.

At maxium I need 4 inhouse cameras and 2 outside cameras. I don't need a system that supports 20 cameras.

I like it to be cabeled and powered by the ethernet cable.

The system should be compatible with android and ios so that you could use a ipad to view the cameras from "offsite".

Its a major plus if the cameras can record internal aswell.

It must not be connected to any monthly/annual services.

These two brands seams interesting. Any experience with these?

    I use Unifi

Excellent system, very easy to use. Good cameras and features. No ongoing costs.

This reminds me I need to set up a security system myself for my office, although I don't need 4K I reckon, I'll be happy with simple 1080 cameras so long as they're cheap and work. Some of those Aliexpress security cameras look tempting

I know one that installing unifi now and another that love likes the unifi products. Have not decided yet.

It seams like swann is better at not trigger on false things. None of unifi and swann seams to have super user friendly handeling. Like if the cameras get triggered it seams like you dont have that clip ready for acces. Rather you need to look for it to find it using the time from the "cameras trigger time". I was a few week since i looked at the that video. But something like that.

One plus on the swann is that you can have an sirene that sounds when it get triggered. But it will not be super loud sound.

    Check out Arlo. https://www.dustinhome.se/product/50...SABEgIP6_D_BwE

Works really well, and no power or cables needed they run through wifi to the base that you connect to your internet router, not 4k but seriously good picture.

Also works with both osx and android.

My wife loves them, she puts them in the garden and set them to "motion detect" and then she puts out food for the reindeers and badgers... she is making a "nature movie" she says. But as the cameras are all hooked to my mail account I get at least like 50 video clips a day of badgers and deers chewing musli in closeup... It's actually nuts how much musli chewing these cameras can shoot before they run out of battery, like months worth of it.

Here, from her wide point of view, 6:28am is apperently deer breakfast time. :)
