Did you try opening the XML in REDCINE-X Pro? Should work. I would recommend trying XML version 1.7 if you have issues with the original one.

Redcine does not really do XMLs or edls so well. Why do you want to go there from FCPX?

One work around, download a free copy of resolve. Import the XML there, Export as a simple EDL or any other format that RCXP want to chew on.

But as I remember from last time using RCXP for such task it does not really do retimes correctly and such so its not the best of conforming tool.

Thanks Bjorn your awesome. I will try the resolve workaround. I never had good experience with premiere to rcx, it always added one extra frame to each clip.

I just got home and ran a test. I am able to import fcpxml 1.7 from Final Cut Pro X 10.4.5 into REDCINE-X Pro 50.1 Release Candidate.

My original theory is correct that xml 1.8 is not supported.

Also tested with 50.5 and 50.4.

Is there something specific you are looking for when you import or are you having trouble getting the files in?
