Hello good people if reduser land, I'm on the fence trying to decide what laptop to go with. I've settle on deciding between these two laptops...

    GIGABYTE AERO 15 CLASSIC-YA-U96ASP
    OS: Windows 10 Pro
Display: 15.6" 0.11 Inch Thin Bezel AUO UHD Adobe RGB 100% 3840x2160 IPS anti-glare display LCD
    CPU: 9th Generation Intel® Core™ i9-9980HK (2.4GHz-5.0GHz)

    RAZER BLADE 15 ADVANCED
    OS: Windows 10 Home
    Display: 15.6" OLED 4K Touch 60Hz, 100% DCI-P3, HDR400, factory calibrated
    CPU: 9th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-9750H 6 Core (2.6GHz/4.5GHz)
    RAM: 16GB Dual-Channel (8GB x 2) DDR4 2667MHz
    Video: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2080 GDDR6 8GB
    Storage: 512GB SSD (NVMe)
    IO: USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB-A) x3 *8th Gen Intel Models
    USB 3.2 Gen 2 (USB-A) x3 *9th Gen Intel Models
Thunderbolt™ 3 (USB-C) *via NVIDIA GPU on 9th Gen Intel Models
    HDMI 2.0B output
    Mini DisplayPort 1.4 output
    Weight: 4.83 lbs
    Price: $3,200 (approx)

Can the Razor handle 8K editing as is (giving me the added option of upgrading to more RAM and an extra SSD later if needed) or is the extra $1,200 worth it for the 64GB of RAM, the faster i9 Octocore processor, and 4x the SSD space?

Does one manufacturer have better heat dissipation than the other? Does that impact throttling? Looking for thoughts from those in the know. I'm upgrading from a 4 or 5 year old MSI Gt70 2oc (i7-2600k,GTX770m, 32GB) that can now just barely get away with editing 8K on a 4K sequence at 1/8 res is redcode compression is set to 12:1 or higher. That's if Premier doesn't crash every 10 minutes.

Did you get any further with your search? I am looking at the same models, full spec Razer with 2070 or 2080 4k screen or aero15 with 4k panel 2070.
Use is Davinci with Gemini 5k 4:1 I would like to get 1:1 playback
