Was having some issues with a recent batch of fresh R3D files not having saved "looks" applied. It was suggested that upgrading to Ver 51 might help and it did, but there were some hangups with all R3D files opening. I then tried upgrading to the latest OSX, that seemed to fix the issues. But then late last night I was revisiting the last batch of R3D's we had shot, and once again they are not opening. Their icons appear in the browser and with their graded looks seemingly applied, but it's a no-go on opening them. Again, all my other R3D's open with no hitch.

Reverting back to 50.3 works for now.

    Joe,

Maybe the .R3D files were corrupted somehow, maybe the .R3D files that worked were from a red mag which was formatted differently than the ones that don't

    Joe,

if you haven't done so, you might want to send a "Log Report" to Red so they can see what is going on.

    1) Enable "Verbose Logging". This, According to the "Redcine-X Pro Operations Manual"

"Adds more information to log files. Only select Verbose Logging if you need extensive log files for Support. Enabling Verbose Logging may slow down your computer performance. "

    2) Go to the "Help" Tab and "Show Log File..". This will show a list of the most recent Log files that have been created. Copy the last one, in my case was 5/22/2019, which I don't have selected in this screengrab

    3) Send a Zip file of your System. Go to the "Help" Tab and "Show System Information.." and save it somewhere .

You can also, After you enable "Verbose Logging", manually "Save Report" after the incident happens or just whenever. Go to the "Help" Tab and "Save Report"

Hello Rand. I'm in contact with a Red Tech who is on top of it. These R3D's open with no issue with 50.3, so I'm sticking with that version until I finish this project. Hopefully the issue I'm having will be worked out. Red is attacking it for sure.
