  1. #1 bridge plate question
    Hello people,
just a quick question, I can't seem to find any precise info on the matter, does anybody know what are the differences between the arri bridge plates bp-5, bp-8 and bp-9?
Is it only a matter of the bp-5 being older or something or are there any features/functions that the bp-8 or 9 have that the 5 doesn't?

Thank you very much for your insights,

    Vassili

I can tell you the bp9 has a 17.25 offset on the bottom 15mm rods, so you'll need an adapter to mount your mattebox and follow focus if they're designed for the LWS (light weight standard) like mine. The wooden camera videos on this page with their adaptor do a good job of explaining it, Vassili.

    I bought this

Works but far from ideal, bumps the arri dove tail plate in front, making it very hard to balance. Still looking for a better solution for 15mm rods.
