    Hi all,
This is admittedly a very basic question, but what accessories would you recommend mounting a DSMC2 brain to a head with this style QR plate:

Obviously the included single 3/8-16 could attach directly to the brain, but that doesn't sound ideal.

    Thanks!

That head uses a standard Manfrotto 501PL.

You could mount the brain directly to the plate for quick release, or add a 15mm LWS baseplate like ours from Bright Tangerine

Thanks! So, would you attach that LWS Baseplate to the above/existing QR plate? It looks like the included dovetail in that Bright Tangerine pic is upside down.

I believe you would attach the Bright Tangerine dovetail to the Manfrotto 501PL, the DSMC2 brain to the 15mm LWS baseplate and then you could just plop the brain and baseplate onto the dovetail - which is an advantage since you usually have to slide them on from the end. I was thinking of getting this BT baseplate but heard that the locking lever can interfere with the DSMC2 sidehandle that I have. It is a ratcheting lever though.
