    I'm about to start a feature film and since this is the easiest way to transcode, I'd like to know if it's gonna happen any time soon...

    Because it eliminates syncing for dailies.

    When we shoot "unteathered" we always run scratch audio wireless - you can do it with a comtec. Saves time and money.

    Further - Scratch will soon support audio playback direct from R3D -

    Because it's faster (for me) on set, the sound is in sync and the sound quality has been excellent for dialogue. Now I just need a fast way to get it into an editable format.

    I've just about got my RED to what I would consider the run and gun point and I'm really damn happy about it. Just need that post audio worklow. Yesterday.
