The brand new Gemini 1X1 takes all the features you love about the original 2X1 and puts it in a portable package for travel or to use with your V-Mount or Gold-Mount batteries in situations where you need to be extremely mobile or don’t have access to house power.

I own several of the original 2X1 Geminis and bring at least one on every set with me. The Geminis are incredibly versatile due to their power output and deep menu system where each gel and effect can be customized down to every last detail. The lights are so powerful that I often find myself using it at below 15% brightness with both a DoP Choice Snapbag and Snapgrid attached. However, if the scene calls for more light, an open-faced Gemini punched into the ceiling or off a Superbounce does a great job at bringing up the overall levels in a room in a naturalistic way.
The 1X1 has been very thoughtfully laid out and contains all the same deeply customizable gels, colors and effects in a package around 1/3 of the size and weight of the original 2X1 unit. Here’s another short demo of the Gemini 1X1 in action on a set where access to house power wasn’t available.

Q. How do I order?
A. Just comment below with your order! If you're buying a kit please specify which kit # you'd like and if there are batteries or battery plates, please specify which mount style you prefer. Q. Is there a delay when switching gels, fx or hue/saturation while in color mode?
A. I haven't experienced any delay at all. Check my IG stories for a live video where I demonstrate how quickly the colors transition.
Q. Does the Litepanels Gemini have the same issues that other RGB-W fixtures have when it comes to processing "white light"
A. Quote from the newsshooter review article "We are starting to see a lot more lighting companies using RGB-W technology. RGB-W stands for Red, Green, Blue & Warm White. Most LED lights on the market create white light by mixing red, green, and blue, which unless it is done well, can create undesirable colour spikes. With most RGB-W, an extra white chip is added into the mix. By mixing all four, a wide range of colours can be created and in theory, the light produced when all four are at full brightness should appear to be almost white. With the Litepanels Gemini, the fixture is RGB-WW, and they they use 5 chips, not 4. The extra chip means the Gemini not only has warm white chip, but also a white chip. This is different than say the ARRI SkyPanel, where they are actually mixing colors to obtain white.

Q. When will I get my equipment?
A. All orders will be processed in the order of payment received. If we reach our goal early, I’ll begin sending out the coupon codes and payment instructions early. Lights and kits are in-stock and ready to ship, however some of the battery products may experience a slight delay. Batteries themselves are in-stock, but some of the V-Mount plates and chargers may need an additional window so please be prepared for that!
