Very interesting. Just think they should have gone with RF mount. Would give more options, IMO.
Have they shown any samples yet?

I think we need a PL version. But that of course would cannibalize the UMP2 camera being cheaper and higher resolution

A bunch of samples on this page. Check the specs to see if it was filmed on the 4K or the new 6K Camera.

I think this is where the money is at. You can only sell so and so many super expansive rental house cameras. But these, they will sell like hotcakes. Everyone and their grandmother will get these.

But yes. Sad that they dont do swappable mounts. As I see it they should just drop the ursa and make a few different form factor versions of this instead. Kind of like DSMC2 and ranger. Swapable mounts, and addons for different monetorings and sound in.

PL lenses are not expensive anymore. Also vintage lenses are wildly popular and don't usually come in EF mounts. Grant is missing a point. Put simply- PL IS the cine lens standard. BM is making cine cameras and so they claim. Why don't they use cine standards for lens mount? BM seems to be always behind in this regard.....hmmmm

Agree. This 6k camera cost less than most PL rangefinder. I think alot of big name DPs that rent bigger cameras for thier projects would find it super appealing to get one of these to have as their recce cam, b cam etc. if it was PL mount on there. That would be a big extra marketing benefit.

Absolutely- but at the same time it would cannibalize ump2 entirely. Decisions, decisions ;-)
