  1. #1 UT-Austin interview with Richard Bluck
I don't know if this has been posted before. Probably has been and I missed it. Here is an interview at NAB with Richard Bluck, the DP for Peter Jackson, talking about shooting with Red in NZ. The interview was posted by UT-Austin student Maru Buendia-Senties.

"...it was fantasic, it worked really really well. [...] As a cinematographer I think the most important thing is to tell the story. The format that tells the story the best... I love shooting film, but then I really loved actually shooting on this camera." - Richard Bluck @ NAB April 18 2007

Richard Bluck was great to work with, along with the entire NZ team.. there is a reason that Peter Jackson continues to be one of the worlds best filmmakers, and a few of us at Red were lucky enough to see it first hand.

It's always nice to put faces to names as well. Some very positive comments from Richard.

One thing I would have liked to ask him- we're told the only thing enabled on the camera was the run/stop button, making me think they might not have had a histogram display. So unless they really trusted their monitor, I'd think the only exposure tool is the light meter. If so what ASA rating did they use?
