I have a whole bunch of clips of varying lengths in my timeline, and I just want to keep the middle 5 seconds of each.

Is there a quick-ish way to accomplish this? Doesn’t have to be anything like a batch convert. Happy to do each one manually.

No, I know of no automatic way to do this. My advice if you have a ton of clips and don't want to do the work is to hire an affordable assistant editor and let them do the drudge work, leaving you free to make the creative decisions later on.

Put all the clips in a stacked sequence and set in and out points.
From there you will need to figure out your patience level ;)

Forgot to add that it would be nice to have a Photoshop-style "Export each Layer" option.
