    One thing I should of asked from get go is, does shooting at 5k on the monstro introduce the possibility for a nosier image?

    Technically it'd be the same noise profile/structure regardless of resolution. However, perceptively yes it would look nosier because you're only downscaling from 5k>4k and not downscaling from 8k>4k.

    That said, while I haven't done direct comparisons, I wouldn't expect it to be any noisier than 5k Dragon-X footage (for example).

    The noise is the same - but because you are zoomed in on it (8K-->5K) it will look worse/bigger.
