Awesome - these are going to be perfect for a few projects for us.
Wonder if kippertie will be able to dry hire them from their Pinewood location too....?
Samsung 860 EVO inside with a sustained seq. write of ~ 450+ MB/s at 128 kB https://www.anandtech.com/show/12408...b-ssd-review/6. Let's hope RED will give a firmware upgrade for less compression.
This is an awesome 3rd party product that I hope will both build on Kipperties success, and cement the path of 3rd party hardware through REDs QA programme.

Nice to see 3rd party media done the proper way.
Curious if this will be available through Red or other USA-based resellers.
That USB-C version is interesting, I wonder if that will give faster offload speeds than through a mini-mag reader.
I am curios why someone would now still buy a 1TB (960GB) Minimag from RED, since it costs more then the 2TB Longtake
Damn. I actually asked Jarred for 2TB mags in 2016 for one very specific project. This is great. I'll need to mull over grabbing 2 or 4, but I will grab them and fill them up with much 8K.
yeah - been waiting for this one - was talking with Jarred awhile back on if there were larger mags in the pipeline... and all I got was a 'hehehe'. And like Phil - have a few projects that larger mags will make mush easier. And for those flying their cameras - less landing to change out media.
