Seriously guys, it sounds like he's behind on at least 5 montiors which is 10 grand, which is mother fucking felonious. If I don't here something in the next few days I'm calling my lawyer.

It's one thing to be overwhelmed, it's another to take my money and then have zero communication, and no product.

It's 4:30 am my time, I just got home from my shoot, so I'm grumpy (HATE missing last call), but no shit, this guy is putting a major turd in the punch bowl as far as his creditability is concerned.

I am in Japan right now directing a short film (shooting on a Red with Matt Garrett DP, yaaay!) so can't visit Luis...

Last time I saw Luis (last week) he was frantically building monitors.

As far as I'm concerned anyone worrying about the warranty shouldn't. He is an honorable guy.

If you are worried about a delay in terms of repairs, then you could just buy two monitors. Last time I checked, his monitors were better than the ones costing double the price, so you would still be winning?

Thanks Randall and Bruce. I'm not so worried about warranty work, it's really ONLY the lack of communication that was concerning me. It's good to see him posting over there though.

And just for the record, since he mentioned he wasn't getting e-mails through the sites, I wasn't e-mailing him through here, I've been sending him direct e-mails copied to BOTH addresses I have for him.

But anyway, it's great to hear he's still cranking them out!

I ordered back in the middle of May and still haven't received mine. I thought surely it would be one of the ones Luis alluded to three weeks ago. Busy or not, I find it problematic that the LSdsgn site still lists the estimated wait at 4-5 weeks when there are people like me still waiting since mid-May.

Still, if the monitor is as good as everyone says (which I don't doubt), then the long wait will recede into memory once I finally take delivery on the monitor. But it hasn't been a pleasant experience.

Man I'm not getting any emails from the RedUser regarding new post on these threads even though I'm subscribed. Its sporadic. I have the same problem on DVX user. My deepest apologies guys for the lack of communication.

I'm back to devoting most of my time making monitors. 6 went out last week, and 4 are coming out this week. One hand delivered to a customer in the area yesterday.

Like Bruce has stated, when I first got into this was just to make my own monitor and then after a few people kept asking me to make them one I decided to start selling them. Unfortunately, at the price that I'm selling them, it is not lucrative enough to stop doing my architecture. So I urge you guys to please please be patient. I know you guys had to wait for your camera for a long time, and the last thing that you need is another manufacturer to make you wait more. But I'm swamped over here and I'm really pushing on these.

Also, as Bruce stated, its hard to get someone to come and do this stuff right. I've actually contacted people about it and had 4 people very interested, but when push came to shove, they never showed. I'm very hesitant to hire a highschool kid to do this because I do test them and want them to come out right.

And do keep in mind that the image and the interior components are top notch. Everyone that has received them has been very pleased. :)

I can attest that Luis' Monitor is absolutely the highest spec and quality and purchasers will not be disappointed upon delivery.

If I may suggest to Luis that he is very realistic to potential buyers about the timeframe for delivery then a lot of this frustration could be avoided for him (and them) - people only tend to get irate when the projected 4 week deadline is missed - if you know at the outset that it will be up to 3 months you can make an informed decision about purchasing or not - if it arrives early then it would be a bonus.
