Don't forget this bad boy... IN CAMERA 5-Axis Image Stabilization....

I totally wish RED would add in camera stabilization (EIBS or IBIS) on the Komodo.. :)

From what I understand , it only has electronic stabilization, no 5 axis available.

I just realized that. They apparently crop the sensor to give the software room to stabilize the video, which.. well.. isn't as cool as FujiFilm's IBIS on the GFX 100.

I had my hands on it today for about an hour. I am very, very impressed with the autofocus and low light particularly for photography, but also motion.

I was using a f/2.8 zoom and an f/4 zoom in very dark conditions and it just grabs the subject. You need to work with it a bit, but it's clearly strong in all of these departments.

The buffer for stills is insane, you can literally just hold the shutter and fire away forever. Great for sports photographers.

I personally miss the 1Ds series of cameras and wouldn't mind seeing this treatment to something can shoot 50 or 80 megapixels.

Hard to get real info on the raw format this camera shoots. From all my contacts at Canon I can confirm it's now Cinema RAW Lite, but rather a new RAW from Canon. Likely similar, but different in ways that we just don't know about yet.

It's a bit low resolution for many these days, but if you are a sports photographer or somebody who isn't delivering past 4K for anything, it is pretty astonishing.

The 30-minute video record time limit is a travesty. Otherwise, it's an amazing camera.
