Wow. I'm so naive. I thought that by getting the email I'd been selected to have the opportunity to purchase it as long as I responded in a reasonable time. I responded in an hour and a half, which apparently means I was WAY out of the running! Sucks, I was so stoked about the yellow! I guess the stormtrooper is the best I can hope for – the world is on fire and the fabric of our society is up for debate, I've got better things to do than refresh my email every 5 minutes :P

As best as I can tell, if you don't need higher frame rate footage, this may be the best out-of-the-camera color and DR that Red has ever made. Maybe that is over stating the case, but it is very good.

From what I've seen it has more noise than the Dragon/Monstro at 6k (and probably lower DR). But it's still impressive.

    Hi Nik,
A member here is 3D printing these. They work well, although not sure how well it will hold up over time. If you search he started a thread on how to order.
I havent actually used it yet, but its a brilliant idea and fits perfectly. Since I took this photo, I swapped the thumb wheel with the other side and it orients the start/stop to the right so you can reach it with your index finger.

Greg, how are you going to use the Teradek Thumbwheel with Komodo? (Don't tell me it can plug directly in the ctrl port and work with EF lenses? Can it do that with DSMC1 and 2?)

Actually, you may have an issue ... Jarred says the EXT breakout plate for Komodo will have ARRI rosettes now, not the GDU RED rosettes.
