Can't say on the Komodo specifically, but I can say from experience that my Canon 24-70 f2.8ii is a bit quicker with focus than my Sigma ART 18-35. Notably, these are zooms and not primes, so that may not help. Hope it does!

My thinking is the slow-mo's are from the Red Weapon and all the non-HFR stuff and fast action are from the Komodo.

Has the existence of back focus adjustments been mentioned? Kind of important aspect of cine cameras that I'm not sure has been mentioned? Is there any screw on it for that?

No in-camera adjustment for back focus.

Reposting from another thread due to no responses:

I'm a first time RED user.

How do I import my footage from the Komodo into Davinci Resolve 16? I've tried dragging/dropping the RDM, RDC, R3D, and rtn files with no luck. I can view the footage in the RED player from RED's website, but I can't actually view/edit/color the footage in Resolve.

Clearly, there's something I'm not understanding. Any help would be much appreciated.

    CAM,

there are a couple of different ways to import Red .R3D files into Davinci Resolve.

    Way 1

"Right Click" inside the Media Page and "Import" your footage from the desired location.

Import the Footage in the "CUT PAGE" which will automatically be found on the "MEDIA PAGE"

From The "MEDIA PAGE" and selecting the "FOLDER" for your clips in the "MEDIA STORAGE" window in the Top Left-Hand Corner. Then Dragging that into the "MEDIA POOL" at the bottom.
