I'll have some Hawk-Woods on Tuesday and when I get my Stormtrooper I can try them on and report back to you.

In the meantime I can take some nice photos of the Hawk-Woods to share :P

Anyone used the Dolgin Engineering TC40 charger? Curious as to how fast it charges compared to the other dual chargers for the BP900 batteries.

I know Blueshape are working on some BP900 series batteries and a charger so will probably hold out for that when it drops as I love their stuff.

Thanks Jarred roughly how long does it take to charge the BP955 and BP975s fully?

Alex, you've used these with the Komodo? I just got my Komodo today and bought a few Kasten BP-955 replacements and the camera said something like "using these may cause your camera to self destruct..." So I'm looking for some and haven't seen the Canon ones available. I know Jared said to try to break the camera, but I don't think this is what he had in mind!

    Thanks,
    Josh

Not sure if its been put out there yet but Komodo charges Canon batteries when plugged in to the AC power with camera off. Pretty slick if you ask me, helps when you need a little help to catch up on charging at end of day.

Really??? I need to try this now haha. Also is there enough protection built in for heat / overcharging protection if so? Also does that mean that if you have a V-mount battery attached via DTap to komodo Lemo in, will that be charging the batteries when powered off?

EDIT: I plugged it in, and indeed the battery light goes orange when the BP batteries are attached and when I pull the BP batteries off, the light goes green... Same with V-Mount attached via lemo. So this will drain your external battery when charging the BP batteries. Good to know, that could screw you up by leaving batteries attached and not realizing its charging.

Another side note would be are there any cheaper batteries on the market that communicate properly with the Komodo or are canon batteries the only ones chipped?

I have the TC400 for my Canon batts and its been plugged-up and powered every single day for seven years straight. I also have two TC200s plated for Sony BPUs that have been going for two years, now. Dolgin makes solid stuff.
