Yes, it will fit... I test fit them the other day with my Teradek thumbwheel adapter and it worked fine. The stock outrigger handle has 2 metal pins on the bottom half of the handle to prevent twist... The GDU handle has the holes for the pins, but does not include them.

New cage and handles from Zacuto,
"The RED Komodo cage is a very modular design. You can use each part individually or in any combination. It has a top plate, two sides and a bottom.
The top plate has integrated Z-Rail (NATO rail) for quick mounting rail based top handles, arms, monitor mounts, etc. It has a flush top for mounting other accessories across it plus 1/4" 20 and Arri style 3/8" 16 threaded holes on top and sides. There is also a provision for mounting two 15mm rod locks for rods to support focus motors and other top mounted rod accessories
The two independent side rails are Z-Rails (NATO) featuring two Arri M6 rosettes top and bottom and an Arri 3/8 16 tapped hole. 3 types of mounting styles.
The bottom plate has an integrated Arca Swiss style locking wedge, an integrated and adjustable 1/4" 20 screw support for lens adaptors and 1/4" 20 threaded holes on the sides.
The cage protects the corners of the camera body. It is very ergonomical and low profile. Super light weight from use of aircraft aluminum."

Well... MOST of Zacuto's stuff looks like that. It may be functional (and expensive), but 'it ain't pretty'. All of their stuff has an Erector Set vibe. Their pan arm adapter that I bought a decade or so ago for my MicroForce is super adjustable, but it looks like I put it together out of spare pieces I found laying around in the bottom of someones camera bag.

Thanks ! No, you’re right, in that configuration you rather want to tuck it against your chest or shoulder. It’s really not long enough to rest on it. For a proper shoulder rig you’ll want to add that pair of LWS 15mm rods and a shoulder pad.
Totally agree on those cables ! Except perhaps for a shoulder rig configuration, where a longer cable might be a great way of having the battery on or behind your shoulder to offset the weight of the camera. Otherwise, I think the ticket might be just learning to solder or ordering some custom length cables once you got your rig finely tuned the way you like.
