Are there any PL to RF mounts that should be avoided? Was looking at the Fotodiox.

I also would like to know if anybody has experience with the Photodiox. They have a straight PL to RF and one with a built-in VariND for $199.

I bought the Fotodiox a couple months back when saw it for $99. Seems to be decently made but I am still waiting on my R5 (first day ordered) and production Komodo, so can't test. I thought maybe there was a mistake as others have it at $199 (yes mine is the builtin ND version) but it was correct and it appears it is still on the Walmart site for $99. Hard to go wrong at that price. Says sold and shipped by Fotodiox - obviously they can sell it cheaper than anyone else but seems like it might be a pricing mistake or the dealers might get upset if they find out so might want to grab it before it changes.

Sold! At that price it's worth a shot. I know you can't test on camera, but just holding up to your eye how do you rate the quality of the built-in Vari-ND? Color cast? Vignetting?
    Thanks for the tip!

For those who avoid social media, the KipperTie Revolva is now available in a much requested RF to EF version. Proper passthrough of the electronics for EF means that any capability the camera has is, and will in future be supported. As usual we have done our best to keep our ecosystem compatible. The same Revolva cartridges work in this and all other mounts, and the Komodo specific 'chinstrap' is of course a direct fit for this one too.

Keep an eye out for a straight EF/RF Adapta on the horizon too. Just like Revolva it'll be possible to lock it down solidly - sorely missing from the RF to EF situation right now.

Has anyone tested ef lenses like the sigma art series on the metabones speedbooster on the komodo? Can you change the iris? Or is it not electronically communicating with komodo ?

Phil have you try any of the two breakthrough photography adapters? The cross compatibility of the drop in filters between the EF to RF and the PL to RF Adapters sounds really good. But I donít fine any review about them, sounds like they are not shipped to any body. My principal concern is if they can manage heavy glass, like PLís Cinema lenses and if the AF works in the EF to RF adapter.

They haven't shipped yet, but standby.
