Live Streaming

With all of the craziness in the world right now, and how it is affecting productions, I have been looking for information on how to set up my Gemini to create a livestream that clients can view in real time. I am familiar and comfortable working with OBS, but am looking for the easiest way to get the signal from the camera into the computer. Does anyone have an easy and affordable way to get Red cameras set up for a live stream? Any information is appreciated!

I currently have a teradek xt setup for wireless monitoring. I’m thinking there might be a way to get those transmitters to send a feed straight into the computer with the addition of a pcie card maybe? Not totally sure, but would be nice to leverage equipment I already have since there is a lot of uncertainty around when my type of commercial productions will be up and running again.

The Blackmagic Atem Mini will allow you to get 4x HDMI Inputs into the system over UBS-C which is super neat and spoofs as a Webcam so you can put it right into Zoom, Skype, OBS, etc. Probably the most affordable solution unless you want to use SDI.

Awesome, thank you for the recommendations! I think I'm leaning towards the Web Presenter so I can take advantage of sdi. And it looks like they both take the same approach of spoofing a web cam, which is a great solution.

I've had a lot of success using the little Blackmagic Ultrastudio Mini Recorder, both straight out of the Red's SDI or HDMI or a handful of cameras through a switch.. it's great for the price point and size

The BM ATEM mini streams at a max of 1080p
