It does have some intense magenta almost reminiscent of some of Sony's sensors but it's definitely not the cameras fault. It's clearly the grade / colorist. To each your own...

Maybe in 1922 people were just, uh...more purple? That's my best guess.

    Patrick,

It looks like ACES was used. Here's my attempt to correct it.

Redo for purple guy to the fair left.

It probably was, but I'm not sure how you can determine this by just looking at the picture...
Also, do you really think Robert Downey's skin looks any better in this version? :)

    Jake,

Not really, I tried a 50/50 yellow/Red for skin but it brought back the Yellow on the right side of hiis face, the girl's forehead, the yellow in the paper of the book and the hair of the dog so..........

The reason I guessed ACES was from looking at the Vectorscope and the way the blue's shadow area looked. I personally only see that in an ACES workflow of ProRes images of red footage. But I could be wrong.

Also "Company 3" graded this so it's kind of hard to believe they did something wrong.

I use STHL OLPF on my Helium 99% and get beautiful skin tones.
