Hi, I looking for a soundbag for a sound devices mixpre6 and loking at orca and k-tek. I power the mixpre with single npf batteries. I wonder if the orca or-270 xs would fit nice in this bag?

If you have a mixpre 6, what is youre favorit bag? I dont need to fit alot of recievers and gear. But its of course nice with some pockets.

Why not the ORCA OR-270? It is purpose build for the MixPre! You said it might be a bit tight, but also you acknowledge you don't need to carry much else at all.

If it sits a little higher than normal due to the NP-F battery, that isn't necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.

K-Tek is of course the other major player in the world which is following the modern trend of sound bags with an internal frame.

Also consider Portabrace, they've gone out of fashion somewhat since the olden days when they were a major player in the manufacture of sound bags, but personally I am thinking the softer / frameless approach has its benefits of lighter weight. I've had a shift in my own thinking about this myself lately.
