  1. #1 Monitoring?
What are y'all planning for monitors & mounting? The SmallHD SDI's seem to be favoured. What will you use to mount it to your Komodo?

I am still waiting to find out. It really depends if USB-C and or WiFi monitoring will be possible. (If I can use my iPad mini I will.)

I might get the Blackmagic 5” to take advantage of the 4K SDI out once we know if it is 12G...

Certainly going to be a bit of "choose your own adventure" when it comes to monitoring with Komodo. There's dirt cheap SDI screens out there at various quality levels. Lightest weight, reliable, bright, and cheap is probably in the realm of <$300 smallHD Focus.

When it comes to wanting more features out of display like higher resolution, HDR, recording, so and so forth the price goes up. BMD screen is pretty rad, though more moolah and a bit heavier.

The SmallHD Focus monitors are beautiful, and compact. And inexpensive -- I got one of the 5 inch OLED models, which are still (I think) on sale for $299.

I am eyeing those Black Magic Video Assists as well for later on down the road though. :)

I asked this question and was told unofficially there’s no reason to think the Cine 7 wouldn’t work, but no confirmation as yet.

I am planning on using my Shinobi SDI monitor. From what I've read, this should work pretty well. And I like the weight of it. Just need to see if I can find a way to tap into an alternate power source so I'm not carrying 3 batteries around.

I want to see what the USB-C phone interface does. We already know that there won’t be WiFi monitoring, just control.
Android app is coming first thanks to the Hydrogen program. Android tablets should work with that as well as phones.
When the IOS app drops iPads may be a viable option.

Me, too. To use a smartphone for monitoring will be the smallest, lightest and most power saving option I think.
