Cropping in RedRushes?

I am trying to take a 4K 2:1 rd3, crop it to 2.40 and then bump it out to 1080p ProRes using RedRushes. The resulting file is to be a 1920x1080 (1080p) with black bars top and bottom so the resulting image is actually 2.40:1. Can someone tell me the settings for my crop to make this work? The crop works off the debayer resolution so if you're shooting 4k 2:1 (4096 x2048) with a half res debayer, you're at 2048x1024. Then for the crop, you base your numbers off 2048x1024.

A center crop should be something like this:

Crop:
w: 2048
h: 854
x: 0
y 85

Scale:
w: 1920
h: 1080
fit: fit width

I just tried it on a clip and it works, imagine that. Hehe.

BTW.. How come it doesn't allow us to enter a zero? I understand we just leave the origin field blank for zero, but sometimes I just feel the need to type it in.

Not sure about zero thing. It works fine in RA but not RR. Must be a strange interface builder bug.

Actually, I just found why it wasn't accepting zeros in the interface. It's fixed for the next version.

These settings don't seem to work in RedRushes - only in RedAlert. Is there something I'm missing?

I have a similar question:

We shot at the RED camera's 4k 16x9 format. On set I noticed the viewfinder onboard the camera was set to a 16x9 guideframe, which itself was inset slightly from the 16x9 sensor area. This gives us variable "wiggle room" to reframe shots, if necessary. As such, and as a result, the captured files show the whole sensor-capture area, and sometimes, the occasional boom mic. RedRushes has a "Crop" and "Scale" function. Since the image is 16x9, the Scale function is obviously not going to work. What are the correct input parameters on the Crop function to get the transcoded ProRes HQ QuickTime files to reproduce the 16x9 frameguide lines as seen on the RED camera's viewfinder? Thanks!
